GHRP-6 Peptide

GHRP-6 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates growth hormone (GH) secretion by binding to the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) in the hypothalamus and pituitary (Kojima et al., 1999). It enhances GH release, promotes appetite, and aids in tissue repair and muscle growth (Bowers et al., 1990). GHRP-6 has been studied for its potential in treating GH deficiencies, muscle wasting, and metabolic disorders (Wu et al., 1994). Unlike other GH secretagogues, it strongly stimulates ghrelin release, increasing hunger. Further research is required to assess its long-term safety and therapeutic potential.
