GHRP-2 Peptide

GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates growth hormone (GH) secretion by acting on the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR) in the pituitary and hypothalamus (Kojima et al., 1999). It enhances GH release, promotes appetite stimulation, and has potential applications in growth hormone deficiency, muscle wasting, and metabolic regulation (Bowers et al., 1997). Compared to other GHRPs, GHRP-2 exhibits strong GH-releasing potency with moderate prolactin and cortisol elevation (Arvat et al., 1997). While promising, further research is needed to assess its long-term safety and therapeutic applications.
